Blood Brothers (School Production)

Blood Brothers was a very important part of my life at the Regent's. It taught me a various amount of new skills and also inspired me into what i wanted to be in the future. Acting on stage was a very difficult task for me and on top of that i was nominated by the directors to be the main role along with my school mate Ralph. Ralph and I were the twins that the play was based on, we had to characterize and "be" our roles to study each other.
The very hardest skill i had to learn was to stay in character all the time on and off stage. i also had to learn how to improvise at times when there were slight errors for example somebody forgetting a line. I learnt many focus techniques but the issue was that these techniques only suited the theater instead of on other aspects.
The most important skill I learnt was confidence in front of crowds. Now with this new skill i can give public speeches and many more public things. Confidence also boosted my status for myself this is because I had now become less afraid of speaking out. This skill is very beneficial in school debate situations but also outside the class. Before I had this skill i would keep many things from my parents, this includes my opinions and thoughts on things, it also included my feelings and emotions. Without this skill it would be very hard for me to cope with my emotions and therefore i definatly would call this the most important skill ive learnt from theater.
